How to Write, Publish & Profit with Kindle Kids’ Books With Shawn Hansen

Get Started Publishing Kids Books on Kindle…

Hang out with Shawn Hansen talking all about how you can “Build a Kids’ Book Empire from the Ground Up”.

Writing Kids Books is Fun and Profitable.

Here are three reasons why people write and publish kids books:

1. Legacy

Many parents and grandparents write children’s books as a way of passing on the wisdom they gained throughout their life.

Publishing stories representing their own experiences creates a lasting legacy that lives on after they’ve passed.

2. Gifts

A book that’s been written with a child/grandchild/niece/nephew or FOR them is perhaps the most special gift they’ll ever receive. It not only creates a lasting memory, it’s a keepsake they’ll cherish forever.

3. Income

Like Shawn, many kids books authors make a comfortable living in their spare time. They love creating books for children and it helps them pay the bills too!

In fact, did you know that kids book authors will earn over $9 Billion by the end of 2016?

That’s billion with a B.

And best of all, anyone who really wants to, can do this.

All you need to know is exactly how to write the kinds of books that sell.

  1. stunning presentation..
    question if i may
Is ther any cance at all you could explain page size and double page images
    in KKBC
    i would appreciate that hugely
    thnaks

  2. She really went into great detail with explaining all of this. Thank you.
But this only applies those who are great graphic artists. Writing is one
thing but creating illustration takes a lot of skill and expertise in
graphic design. I’m a really good artist as far as painting, drawing, etc
but I’m horrible when it comes to making art on the computer. So I think
this is great for those with that skill but not for the everyday person.

    1. +mascottie you can always photograph or scan your traditional media
      artworks.
Also, I am sure you’re clever enough to learn the rudimentary technical
skills needed to take those traditional media pieces and add text over
      them.

I think that could be said about anything from running to publishing. Some
are going to be more talented than others! In this case, the images can be
obtained via commercial sources if one isn’t comfortable with his/her own
skills. In fact, I even offer plots and images for people who want help. 🙂

  3. I want to say thank you so much for this! I have a HUGE interest in
building childrens books because I love children and I love creating
digital artworks and stories. I almost lost confidence when I couldn’t
find the correct pdf converter, etc,etc to make it possible…but then one
night I found the kindle book creator and WOW…I love it. I’m in progress
in creating my first kindle book, and it’s day two for me. It’s hard
because I already have a full time job 11 hours 5 days a week, so I stay up
extra for my projects! XD I’m planning to get done by the end of the week.
    :)

    1. +Shawn Hansen Since that time I was about to create two books. A number
book and an Abc book. I definitly wasnt expecting any income, but i kind of
did it as a test to see how far i can get…so they are on Amazon now, and
at the moment on hiatus because of work and many other projects.

  4. Just wondering if Shawn continued to publish kids books after this – as I
can only see 3 kids books on amazon (uk that is). I see some adult
colouring books, but not kids books. Just wondering why or if she decided
    to move on. Thanks!

I’m still publishing kids’s stories and books, but I tend to rotate between
Amazon and other platforms. (I always have.) Right now, the Coloring Books
for Adults are my Amazon focus, and my other fiction (including kids’
books) are rotating through magazines and anthologies. Once that rotation
ends, I’ll publish more on Amazon. 🙂

  5. I lived in Lake Isabella for a time and worked in Kernville! Now I live
just over the mountain from there. Small world! Great video. I subscribed!

  6. Interesting video but making 3 books then going off to do something else
well sounds not very profitable or you’d still be putting out these kids
books. How much does those few only 3 still make? To be considered an
empire and claim you have all the answers and praise this is fairly easy
without real marketing yet you abandoned it? How do we know that your claim
of pushing out many ebooks will result in a steady stream when the teacher
    walked away?
